The Marmion Wall.
I was asked by the lovely people at The Marmion public house in Southsea, close to Palmerston Road, to paint and collage the wall that leads into their restaurant area. The wall has been painted by M-one and Midge both fantastic artists from Portsmouth so I was thrilled to be asked to paint alongside their existing works.
I produced a double female portrait called 'The Reflection of Lyla' which is seductively opulent using lace, birds and butterflies in gorgeous pinks and reds with neons that balance well with the dark grey walls.
The Marmion also has art on the walls, a wonderful M-one piece, an amazing spray painted vintage mirror by Fark and some delightful free art pieces by My Dog Sighs, so all round it's a very cool place to relax in.
If you are local to Southsea why not pop in for a look and stop for a bite to eat as the food is absolutely delicious. http://www.themarmion.co.uk/
